Dorbrook Sprayground and Park

On Wednesday Brandon, Wesley, and I met my friend, Nancy, and her sons, Justin and Colin, at the Dorbrook Sprayground. The boys had fun playing in the water for awhile. When they were finished we went to the playground where they continued to have fun.

Helping Mommy

Wesley helped put together his new pirate ship water table.

Monmouth Race Track

Last Saturday we went to the Monmouth Race Track for our friend Stephanie's grandmother's memorial service. Both boys loved seeing the horses.

Happy 2nd Birthday Wesley

Wesley turned 2 yesterday. I can't believe he is already 2. I walked into his room yesterday and said happy birthday and he replied by saying thank you. The past two years have gone by so fast. He is definitely not a baby anymore but is a little person now. He talks so much. I really have lost count of how many words he has since he says so many things. He has even been stringing together 2 and 3 words. He has an amazing personality and is just so funny with some of the things he says. My favorite thing is he calls my mom "mom" instead of grandma because that is what he heard me calling her. Wesley is also very loving. Wesley LOVES his brother. Brandon and Wesley have such a great relationship. They play together so nicely now and laugh and laugh together. Wesley also loves Mickey Mouse and asks to watch it every morning when he wakes up. He is a pretty good eater and prefers fruit and vegetables to sweets. He loves apple juice and would drink it all day if I would let him. He is currently wearing mostly 2t and 24 month clothes although he has a few 18-24 month clothes that he still fits into. He has a size 6 1/2 shoe (although I need to get it measured since it has been several months since I did last) and wears a size 5 diaper. He goes to the pediatrician tomorrow for his well visit so I will update then with his height and weight. Wesley finished his first year at Ivy Hedge and loved it. He talks about his friends from there all of the time. Wesley is not a great sleeper anymore. He now wakes up throughout the night at least 1-2 times crying for mommy. He is quite a mama's boy and always wants to be around me and cries if I leave the room. He has also developed a fear to shadows which makes changing his diaper really hard since he sees my shadow on the wall and to bees. I hope he gets over both soon. Wesley knows all of his letters, colors, and shapes.

Dow Avenue Pre-K Graduation

Brandon's pre-k graduation from Dow Avenue was last Monday. I originally didn't know if I would be able to go to it since my last day of school wasn't until the next day but my principal let me leave work early to go. I am so glad I did. It was really cute. They sang a bunch of songs, then got their diplomas, and then there was a little party for them.

Happy Summer Birthday Brandon

Brandon celebrated his birthday at school yesterday since he has a summer birthday and won't be at school on his birthday. He brought glazed donuts (his favorite!) to school and came home wearing a birthday crown. He was so proud of it that he wore it the entire time after school until it was time to go to sleep.

Rebecca's 2nd Birthday Party

On Saturday afternoon we went to Rebecca's 2nd birthday party. It was at her grandmother's house. There was a kiddy pool set up which Brandon loved playing in. Wesley was afraid to go in it but had a lot of fun going on the slide that was set up in the yard.

Last Soccer Game

Brandon's last soccer game for the Spring season was this past Saturday. Brandon scored a goal (it might have been for the wrong team again). At the end of the game they gave out trophies to the kids.
