Half Marathon

Stu ran in his second half marathon this morning. Our friend Brenda also ran in the half so I went with her husband to watch. We watched it at the 8 mile mark and then again at the finish. Stu finished in 2 hours and 14 minutes.

T-Ball Parade, First T-Ball Game, and Touch a Truck

Yesterday we had a very busy day. It started with the Ocean Township Little League opening day parade. Brandon is playing t-ball this year so his team was in it. He is on the Orioles and so far seems to have fun playing t-ball. Wesley and I went to watch the parade since Stu was also in the parade driving a fire truck. Wesley wasn't too happy when the sirens came on.
After the parade there were opening ceremonies. Buster from the Lakewood Blue Claws was there so the kids enjoyed seeing him and having their picture taken with him.
Brandon then had his first t-ball game. Unfortunately they only played two innings since it started really late. They had to pump the field before the game because it rained the day before and one of the fields drained on the t-ball field. Brandon had fun anyway.
After Brandon's game we went to Touch a Truck. We went with our friends, John and Rachel, and their kids, Tori and Lexi. Brandon and Tori had fun climbing on the trucks.

Bring Your Child to Work Day

Yesterday was bring your child to work day. Brandon came with me for the day. He fit in with my kindergarteners perfectly. They loved having him there and he loved being there. He went to computers and art with them and ate in the cafeteria with them.

Easter Egg Hunt and Bunny Ears

Last Saturday I brought Brandon and Wesley to Allaire State Park for an Easter Egg Hunt that was going to have 10,000 eggs. As soon as we turned onto the road where the park entrance was we were in traffic waiting to get in. We sat in traffic for about 30 minutes before we finally got into the park and found out the 10,000 eggs had disappeared in 10 minutes! My friend Rebecca had met us their with her children, Ava and Stella. We decided to walk around for a little while since the kids had sat for so long in the car but everything there was to do had a non moving line. Another friend of ours who was going to meet us there called and we told her not to come since it was so insane. She decided to go buy Easter eggs and we all went to her house for an Easter Egg hunt. The kids had a blast picking up eggs in the backyard and putting them into buckets.

Liberty Science Center

Yesterday Stu, Brandon, Wesley, and I went to the Liberty Science Center. There has been a Bob the Builder exhibit there which is in its final days. We hadn't been there to see it yet so we wanted to make sure we went before it was gone. Wesley was so excited to go since he loves Bob the Builder. There were also some Dr. Seuss activities in the I Explore area which is an area for 2-5 year olds. Brandon and Wesley both had a lot of fun at the Liberty Science Center.
