Brandon and Wesley were so excited to go trick or treating today. They rode from house to house in their wagon and both were so excited each time they got a treat.
I took a personal day from work today to go see Wesley's Halloween parade at school. He was so excited to wear his Mickey Mouse costume to school and be in the parade. When the parade first started he was smiling and strutting. Then he noticed me and things started to change. He started saying my name over and over again. Then his lip started trembling and his eyes started to fill with tears. Then he was full blown hysterical. He kept telling me to walk with him which his teachers wouldn't let me do. He cried the whole time his class sang a few songs since he wanted to be with me. Hopefully once he went into the classroom for his party he stopped crying.
Last night the boys had so much fun playing in the bins. Wesley especially cracked me up when he climbed into the blue one and sat down in it. I am still not sure how he managed to do that.
The boys looked especially cute a few nights ago in their pajamas and were being very cooperative so I had to take a picture. And yesterday I came downstairs and saw the two sitting together watching tv in the same chair.
Stu, Brandon, Wesley, and I went to Sesame Place today. It was the last day of the season. The boys had a blast. They had different places set up in the park to trick or treat which they both loved. We also went to the Count's Halloween Countdown show which they both liked. We got pictures taken with the characters too. Brandon and I went on some rides and Wesley decided to go on the merry go round with us. He cried as soon as it started and told me the ride was really scary.
We have been really busy the past week or two. I have taken some pictures but haven't gotten on to blog. We have had a few birthday parties, Stu's cousin's Sweet 16, soccer games and practices, and Stu has been working a few days teaching at the fire academy. We went to an Ocean Township football game last night. Brandon was really into it. Wesley liked listening to the band play. The boys are looking forward to Halloween coming up this week. They were also excited about the Steelers win last Sunday. Here are some pictures from the past week.
This morning was the Run Through Deal. Stu ran the 5k and Brandon and I ran in the 1 mile run. Brandon was so excited to run in his first real race. He started off really running fast and then got tired. He didn't realize 1 mile was as long as it was. The rest of the mile he alternated between running and walking but he finished it first in his age category (5 and under) so he won a trophy which he was so happy about. Stu won a sweatshirt for being the fastest firefighter.
My name is Karen and I have been married to my husband Stu for a little over 9 years. I was pregnant with twins and lost our baby girl at 20 1/2 weeks after I had premature rupture of membranes. I stayed pregnant with the other baby and our first child, Brandon Tyler, was born on July 5, 2008 at 26 weeks and 1 day. Our second child, Wesley Matthew, was born full term on June 29, 2011. This blog is documenting our children.
