Dr. Attardi is Brandon's doctor again starting today. We talked to her this afternoon when we were visiting Brandon. She seems happy with how Brandon is doing. She seems pretty confident that he will stay off of the vent just like Dr. Alemany was. She said the feedings are going well too. He is still getting 19 cc's. He will have some days where he stays at the same amount for a little while because otherwise he will be getting too much too soon. I asked her if she was still thinking that Brandon would be out of the hospital after a total of 9-11 weeks from when he was born like we were originally told. She got Brandon's book of records and looked and said she thought that maybe in 6-7 weeks he would be able to go home. There are still several things that have to happen before he can go home like putting on more weight, drinking from a bottle, and not having desats but I guess she thinks those will all happen by then. He has been in the hospital for 4 weeks today so that is still right on track from what we were told in the beginning. Brandon was good when we were there this afternoon. He was desatting when we got there and his nurse, Lisa, came to change his diaper finally and he had pooped. The same thing happened last night when he pooped with the desat.
