13 Months Old

I can't believe it has already been a month since Brandon's first birthday. Brandon is 13 months old today/ almost 10 months adjusted. He goes to the developmental clinic next week and I can't wait to hear what they say about how he is doing developmentally. I think the gap is closing and he is getting closer to what a 13 month old should be doing than a 10 month old. There are a few friends of mine who have babies who are around 15 months old and Brandon seems to be doing a lot of things that they are.

At 13 months old, Brandon:
- is drinking four bottles of whole milk a day
- eating more and more table food (pancakes, mac and cheese, hot dogs, chicken nuggets, diced pears, blueberries, bananas, yogurt)- he is also still getting a fruit or veggie baby food with each meal and barley with breakfast and dinner
- loves puffs
- loves to feed himself his food
- is crawling
- is pulling up to stand
- can get himself into a sitting position
- is still is not sleeping through the night most of the time- usually up one or two times during the night
- loves the beach, swimming in his wading pool, and playing with his friends
- babbles all the time
- loves Hershey
- has four teeth (two on the top and two on the bottom)
- is a very happy baby most of the time
- weighs 18 pounds, 14 ounces (as of 3 1/2 weeks ago- he is probably more now) and is 28 3/4 inches long

Crawling and Pulling To Stand

Brandon has learned to crawl the real way, pull to stand, and get into a sitting position on his own in the past 5 days. He also FINALLY slept through the night last night. Prior to last night he wakes up 1-2 times a night. He goes back to sleep but needs me to either pick him up and put his pacifier in or rock him back to sleep. He finally can find his own pacifier when he wakes up and put it back in which seems to be helping him to sleep better.

Walking with the Walker and Waving Hi To Hershey

Brandon walked with his walker this afternoon several times. Hershey walked by when Brandon was walking and Brandon stopped, pet Hershey with one of his hands, and then started to wave hi to Hershey. It was really cute. He then fell onto the floor since he was only using one hand.

A Day at the Beach

We went to the beach this morning with my friend Dina and her kids Abby and Tommy. Dina's sister Karina and her baby Dominic also came with us. Dominic is 2 months younger than Brandon. Brandon had fun playing in the sand with Dominic, crawling on the sand, going in the ocean, and swimming in the pool.

Going on Rides

Brandon went to Point Pleasant boardwalk this afternoon and went on his first rides. He went on the merry go round and the train and seemed to like both rides. He almost went on the flying elephants but he wouldn't stay seated in the seat before the ride started so we took him off. I went on the merry go round with him and Grandma Jacobs and I went on the train with him. After the rides we went to the arcade and I won Brandon a dolphin that I picked up with a claw. Grandma and Grandpa Jacobs used some of the tickets that they have been saving to get Brandon a fisher price t-ball toy that he can play with sitting down and then later use as a t to hit balls standing up. We went to Hoffman's for ice cream after the boardwalk when it started to rain but Brandon was not as into his ice cream today as he usually is.

Pulling to Stand

Good Morning Mommy

This morning Brandon woke up and sat himself up in his crib. He then tried to pull himself to stand but couldn't quite pull himself up in his crib. He did get himself up to his knees. I am sure it is a matter of time before he pulls himself up to stand in his crib. In the middle of the night he woke up once and sat himself up and started to cry too.
