Breakfast With the Easter Bunny

We went to Stu's firehouse this morning to have breakfast with the Easter Bunny. When we first got there Brandon was afraid to go too close to the Easter Bunny. He eventually went over to get a lollipop and to give the bunny a high 5 but then walked away. He sat and ate his pancake and kept watching the other kids sit on the Easter Bunny's lap. By the time he was finished with his breakfast he was happy to sit on the bunny's lap.


After the breakfast we went into the bays to see the firetrucks. Brandon had fun running and jumping on the metal grates and making lots of noise on them.

Ice Hockey Game

Last night Brandon, Stu, and I and both sets of our parents went to a benefit ice hockey game. The benefit was to raise money for a soldier who lost his leg in Iraq who grew up playing ice hockey where the game was. One team was made up of retired Devils and Rangers players.

Beautiful Afternoon

It was so nice out this afternoon when Stu and I got home from work (in the 70s) so we decided to go to the beach so Hershey and Brandon could run around. It was a lot colder at the beach but we still had a good time. Brandon enjoyed running in the sand and collecting shells and driftwood and also going on the swing at the beach. I can't wait until the weather finally decides to stay nice.

Easter Playdate

Brandon and I went to an Easter playdate at our friend Tara, Brandon, and Paul's house today. Our friends Dina and Ava, Beth, Larry, Hannah, and Avery, Keri, Evan, and Brandon, and Kim were also there. Tara had cookies for the kids to decorate with frosting and sprinkles which was a big hit. She also had an Easter Egg hunt for the kids. Brandon put one egg in his bucket and was done. Brandon also had a lot of fun playing on Brandon's swingset and jumping in the bounce house that was set up.

26 weeks

I am 26 weeks pregnant today. At this point in my pregnancy with Brandon I went into the hospital because I started bleeding. The next morning I had an emergency c section. I can't believe I have reached that point in this pregnancy where I had Brandon. I am so happy that things with this pregnancy seem to be going well still. I will be happy on Sunday when I am the most pregnant that I have ever been.

Please Touch Museum

Stu had to go to Philadelphia today for an eye doctor appointment this afternoon so Brandon and I decided to go with him so that the three of us could go into the city earlier in the day and do something together. We decided to go to the Please Touch Museum. It was a big hit. Brandon loved it! There was so much to do there. There were race cars that the kids could sit in and pretend to drive, a real car that you could pretend to fill at a gas station, a bus that you could get on, a metro car, an Alice in Wonderland area including a rabbit hole to slide down, wooden slides, a water room, and an area that had all different shops and restaurants (shoe store, McDonald's, Shop Rite, CHOP, a diner, etc.).

Ben's Bar Mitzvah

This weekend Stu, Brandon, and I went to Maryland for our nephew, Ben's, Bar Mitzvah. The weekend started Friday night with a dinner at a really good Chinese restaurant. Brandon's first and third cousins all enjoyed seeing and playing with him. It was too bad there was only one of him to go around because they all wanted to hold him.

Stu and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary on Friday so we were surprised with a cake

Ben's Bar Mitzvah was on Saturday. Brandon was in the babysitting room for most of the service. He then slept through the first two hours at the restaurant. Once he woke up he was happy to hang out with all of the big kids.

After the Bar Mitzvah we went back to Debbie and Rich's house. This morning we went to Debbie and Rich's house again for breakfast. It was a busy but fun weekend and really nice seeing everyone.
