We went to the Italian Festival three nights last week that was in our town. Brandon LOVED going on the rides, especially the dragon roller coaster. Both boys loved the petting zoo and feeding the animals.
On Saturday we went to my friend Kim's mom's house. Six of my friends who I grew up with were also there along with their parents and kids. It was nice seeing all of our kids playing together and catching up with friends that I grew up with.

Professional Pictures

A few months ago I bought a groupon for Picture People for 16 dollars for 8 sheets which was a great price. Last week I brought the boys to get their picture taken since they needed their 2 and 5 year old pictures. Since Brandon had his graduation picture taken at the end of May I didn't get single ones taken of him. I was so happy with how the pictures came out.

Sickles Park

Yesterday we went to Sickles Park with my friend Nancy and her sons, Justin and Colin, and her newborn baby, Norah. Brandon and Wesley loved playing on the slides. Wesley surprised me and was going on some of the really high slides all by himself.

Sesame Place

Brandon, Wesley, my dad, and I went to Sesame Place on Monday. It was a beautiful day out and the lines were not bad at all. We went on some water slides, played in the spray park, and saw some characters. Brandon also got his face painted which he had been talking about doing since our last trip there.

Silton Swim School

Brandon went to Silton Swim School for the first time this year. I had heard from friends who have older kids that Silton will have your child swimming by the end of their session. You have to sign your kids up for two consecutive weeks so Brandon went for two weeks starting in the middle of July. Brandon's friend Jen was in his group at Silton. At the end of the first week Brandon was not swimming and was telling me about the third day in that he kept sinking when the counselors let go of him. I was all set to sign him up for a third week because I really wanted him to learn to swim. On the first day of the second week something clicked and he started to swim. By the end of the second week he was really swimming. We went to a demonstration the day after camp ended to see what he had learned. His group was in the water for about 15 minutes. Each kid had two turns to show what he/she learned. Brandon was really swimming. With his face in the water and scooping with his hands and kicking with his feet. And he was so proud of himself. Later in the day we went to a pool party for a friend's son's first birthday and he continued to swim there.
