Brandon's Birthday Party

Brandon's birthday party was on June 29th. He had it at Oakhurst Firemen's Field and had a Paw Patrol theme. Some of his friends from school came to his party and some of his friends that he has known for years came to his party.

When everyone got to his party they spent time playing in the field. We had a bounce house set up which was a huge hit. We also had t-ball set up, the stomp rocket set up, some balls, a ball tent, and some catch games. The kids had so much fun running around and playing with everything.

Next I had stuffed animals (webkins) for each kid to adopt and make a home for using sticky letters and shapes. That was a big hit with the kids.

The kids then ate pizza.

It was then piñata time!

Then the kids sang happy birthday to Brandon and decorated cupcakes to eat.

Wesley's 3rd Birthday

Brandon's birthday party was on Wesley's 3rd birthday this year so Wesley spent the morning at Brandon's party.

We then came home and he opened his presents and then rode his new scooter that he got for his birthday from Grandma Marsha and Papa Earle.

Grandma Gail, Papa Jim, Grandma Marsha, and Papa Earle came over for dinner. We barbequed food for dinner. Then instead of a cake Wesley wanted to have munchkins.

Happy 6th Birthday Brandon!

Brandon turned 6 yesterday. He continues to amaze me everyday. He started off at 1 pounds, 14 ounces and is now a thriving, extremely determined 6 year old. He is friendly to everyone and always has a smile on his face.

Silton "Swim Meet"

On Wednesday Brandon swam in his first swim meet at Silton. Starting at age 5 they have what they call a swim meet every 2 weeks so the kids who go for 2 weeks get to participate in it one time. The age 5 kids swam the width of the pool instead of the length of the pool. There were instructors in the pool with the kids to help if they needed it. I was so impressed with how much better Brandon was at swimming from the 7 days he had been there at this point. He was able to take breaths on his own when he needed to which he couldn't do last year. The only time the instructor helped him was to hold his hands when he lifted his head for a breath to help him get a little bit of a longer breath. Brandon got a ribbon for participating when he finished his race. He was so excited about it!
