The boys had Silton again this week but we still managed to fit in a few fun activities after Silton on a few days. On Tuesday afternoon I brought Brandon and Wesley to the pool near us. They both had such a fun time. I was really able to see so much growth in what each boy was doing at the pool.
On Wednesday morning Silton had what they call a swim meet. Each kid there in age 5 and up got to swim in a race. Most of the kids in the 6 year old group, the group that Brandon is in, swam the width of the pool instead of the length of the pool. Brandon came in second place in his race.
On Thursday Brandon and Wesley went to the dentist. After their appointment we went to Chuck E. Cheese. Wesley had been asking to go there for awhile and earlier in the week I told him if he stopped crying at Silton then we could go. He stopped crying so we finally went. They both had a good time playing games and going on some of the rides there.
Last night we went to the fireworks that our town has. Wesley enjoyed playing with his friends that were there from the fire department. Brandon did not feel great so spent most of the time sitting in his chair playing my old I phone. I thought Wesley would do better with the fireworks this year since we had head phones for him but as soon as he heard the practice firework he got so worked up that I had to bring him to the car. So I missed fireworks again this year since I sat in the car with him.

Wesley's 4th Birthday
Wesley's birthday was on Monday. My parents and Stu's parents came over to celebrate. He opened his presents from everyone and then we had dinner. Wesley had pasta shaped like birthday cakes and birthday presents that my dad bought at the Christmas Tree Shop. After dinner we had a chocolate chip cookie cake. Wesley is not a huge fan of cake but loves cookies so I thought that would be a great choice for him.
Wesley's Birthday Party
Wesley's birthday party was last Sunday, the day after Brandon's party. We were planning on having the party in our backyard but a few days before I started seeing the forecast for that day which was not good. I searched for magicians and found one that I decided to book. I figured he would either do his show in our backyard if it was nice or at the firehouse (our alternate location)if it was raining. On the day of the party the weather was not nice so we moved the location to the firehouse. It wound up being a fun party. When the kids first got to the party they decorated pirate hats and treasure chests. Then the magician did his show. The kids all loved it! The kids then ate lunch and then we did a piñata. Wesley got upset because things had to be done differently with the piñata since we were indoors. He completely lost it when it was time to sing happy birthday after the piñata. First he didn't want the cake at the table, he wanted it where he was sitting. Then he didn't want everyone singing happy birthday. Then he wanted them to sing happy birthday but wanted me to blow out his candles. He also wanted his cake put back together and not cut for everyone to eat. He cried the whole time his friends were leaving and finally calmed down after they left. He said he had a good birthday though, despite the tantrum.

Brandon's Birthday Party
Brandon's birthday party was this past Saturday. He had it at Dorbrook pool through the Monmouth County Park System. It was drizzling out but the kids all had fun swimming anyway. There were two lifeguards in the pool with the kids that played games with them. Then the kids had some time to just swim. Everyone really seemed to enjoy it. Then we went inside and had pizza and cupcakes and the kids decorated sunglasses that I bought from oriental trading company. Brandon had a lot of friends from school at his party as well as some friends who he has known for awhile that are not from school. Brandon's friends were a really nice group of kids.
