Bronx Zoo

On Friday Stu and I took Brandon and Wesley to the Bronx Zoo. I think it is one of the best zoos that I have been too. Brandon and Wesley enjoyed seeing the animals but I think Brandon's favorite thing there was the bug merry-go-round. He really enjoyed going on it.

Beautiful Spring Day

Yesterday was a beautiful day. The weather was 70 degrees so when Stu went running I brought the boys to the park where he was running. Brandon saw his teacher there which he thought was neat. He must have gone down the slide at least 40-50 times. It amazes me how much he changes from year to year. Wesley enjoyed sitting in the swing but didn't like it when I started to push the swing.

Pulmonologist

Brandon had a pulmonologist appointment yesterday. He still goes to Dr. Sembrano every 3-4 months. He weighed 28 pounds, 5 ounces and was 36 1/2 inches long. Dr. Sembrano said he sounds good. If his allergies are okay during the next few months we can take him off of the singulair in June for the summer.

9 Month Well Visit

Wesley had his 9 month well visit on Monday. He weighs 20 pounds, 7 ounces (50th percentile) and is 29 3/4 inches long (85th percentile). Dr. Noaz is happy with how he is doing and told us to gradually start whole milk at 10 months old. Wesley's blood work came back and he is not allergic to any foods so the throwing up from the dairy is either an intolerance or a cooincidence that he threw up the two times he had dairy. We can start slowly introducing yogurt and other foods that have dairy to see if he tolerates them.

Fresh Beat Band Concert

Stu, Brandon, and I went to the Fresh Beat Band concert yesterday at Count Basie. Brandon loved it. He clapped after each song, sang along with some of the songs, and even danced a little in the aisle. He loved seeing Kiki, Shout, Twist, and Marina in person.

March for Babies

Stu, Brandon, Wesley, and I will be walking in the March for Babies on Sunday, April 29th in Asbury Park at Convention Hall. The March of Dimes plays a huge role in supporting the care of preemies. If it weren't for the research done by the March of Dimes Brandon might not be here today. 9 Months Old

Wesley is 9 months old today! I can't believe in 3 months he will be 1. His well visit is on Monday so I will know his weight and height then. He is now wearing 12-18 month clothes and a size 3 diaper. He tries so hard to crawl but just can't move but his new mode of transportation is rolling. He gets where he wants to crawl by rolling there. He is still a great sleeper. He goes to sleep after an 8:30 bottle and sleeps until between 6 and 6:30. He is also a great eater. There has been nothing that he has had to eat that he doesn't like. He usually cries for more when he is finished with a jar of baby food. He is still taking 5 bottles during the day and loves those too. Wesley has his two bottom teeth. He just had a blood test done to check for allergies since he might have a dairy allergy. He has thrown up the two times that he had dairy. We will find out on Monday at his well visit.
