Last Day of Beginners

Wesley's last day of school was today. He was very confused about why he won't be going to school for the summer and not so happy that he will be in a new classroom with new teachers in September. I took his picture this morning holding the white board for his last day of school. I couldn't believe how much he has changed since school started in September when I looked back at his first day picture. You can see the difference by looking below his last day picture since I posted them both. Wesley had such a good year at school. He learned so much this year and matured a lot. He finally stopped crying at drop off about a month or two ago. He knows all of his letters, some letter sounds, knows all of his shapes and colors, can spell his name, can write the letter W and a few other letters, and can spell the word No.
Wesley and Ms. Kelly- she was his teacher for the past two years
Wesley and Ms. Brittany- she was one of his three teachers this year
Wesley and Ms. Cindie- She is the one who runs the school. Wesley loves her and everyday had to stop on the way out of school to say bye and get a bandaid

Classic Car Show

On Father's Day we started our day with going to breakfast at a diner. Then we went to a classic car show in Long Branch. Stu's parents came with us. Wesley napped in the stroller the whole time we were there but Brandon enjoyed seeing the cars.
When we got home we set up the pirate water table. Both boys loved playing with it.

Rebecca's 3rd Birthday Party

On Saturday we went to our friend Rebecca's 3rd birthday party. It was at her grandparent's house and was a princess theme. Brandon and Wesley had fun decorating prince crowns with foam letters and shapes. Wesley and Brandon had fun playing with their friends, Ava and Tori.

Brandon the Wild Thing

Last week when I picked Brandon up from school he was wearing a crown that he made from the book Where the Wild Things Are.

Busy Weekend

Brandon had his last t-ball game of the season on Saturday morning. He had his best hit during the game. He really improved a lot during the season and learned a lot about playing t-ball.
After Brandon's game his coach passed out medals to the kids. She also gave them Oriole lollipops that she made and cupcakes that another parent made.
Wesley even enjoyed a cupcake!
Brandon's best friend, Shane, had a game right after him. He was excited to see her.
Later in the afternoon Brandon, Wesley, and I went to the Middletown Fire Academy where Stu was teaching. We watched the fire companies put out car fires. Then we stayed and had a barbeque with some of the other instructors and their families. There was a 4 year old boy named Braeden and a 4 year old girl named Casey that Brandon and Wesley had fun playing with.
On Sunday Wesley went to a birthday party at House of Bounce for his friend, Jack, from school. Wesley loved it there. He was there about a month ago for another birthday party and would hardly do anything but this time he did a lot of the bounce houses. Wesley and Jack were so excited to see each other. I had to include both pictures even though the second one is blurry to show how excited they were.
This morning I came downstairs after getting dressed and this is how I found Brandon and Wesley. Wesley asked me to take a picture.

Brandon's Art Show

Brandon's school had an art show last night. My parents, Stu, the boys, and I went. Every kid in the school had one of their art pieces framed and on display. You could purchase the picture for $25 which of course I did, especially since none of his art works have come home from school this year and I didn't know if they are sending them home at the end of the year. Brandon really liked finding his picture. He saw a lot of kids he knew at the art show which he loved. There were different props for taking pictures of the kids and coloring pages for the kids to do.

Sesame Place

Last Sunday my dad, Wesley, Brandon, and I went to Sesame Place for the first time this season. Stu was working at the fire academy so he couldn't come with us and my mom was in New York for the day with some of her friends. Sesame Place was opening a new land called Cookie Monster Land and there was a preview that day for season pass members. Brandon and I did some rides in Cookie Monster Land, saw two new characters, Honker and Dinger, that are in Cookie Monster Land, and then Brandon rode the roller coaster with me one time and with my dad one time and also went on the merry go round. We also saw lots of characters which is Wesley's favorite part of Sesame Place.
