Nasal Cannula Trial

I got to the hospital this afternoon and Lauren, Brandon's nurse, told me that Dr. Rekedal had decided that Brandon would try the nasal cannula during kangarooing today. I kangarooed for 2 hours and he did really well on the cannula the whole time so Dr. Rekedal decided to let him try it when he went back in his isolette. I left at 4:30 and he was still doing really well. He had been on it for 4 hours at that point. I will see when we go back tonight if he is still doing well on it. If he starts working too hard then he will be put back on CPAP for a little while and then try again in a few days.
