At Wesley's 9 month well visit the pediatrician asked if he could clap hands and wave hi. I said he couldn't but I hadn't ever really worked on those with Wesley. By the next day he could do both easily. He also started giving high 5s.
This past weekend he really had a development explosion. On Friday afternoon I was on the computer. Our computer area has a half wall that overlooks the rest of the basement. I looked over the wall to see what Wesley was doing. He was standing holding onto his bouncy seat with one hand. He had pulled himself up to stand by himself for the first time. And was so proud of himself. Yesterday he started crawling and army crawling. He crawls slowly but does crawl now. Earlier in the week he started getting himself into a sitting position by himself from lying down for the first time. He also started self feeding himself puffs over the last week or two. And yesterday he started doing so big with his arms. Doesn't he know he is supposed to stay my baby a little bit longer?
My name is Karen and I have been married to my husband Stu for a little over 9 years. I was pregnant with twins and lost our baby girl at 20 1/2 weeks after I had premature rupture of membranes. I stayed pregnant with the other baby and our first child, Brandon Tyler, was born on July 5, 2008 at 26 weeks and 1 day. Our second child, Wesley Matthew, was born full term on June 29, 2011. This blog is documenting our children.
