The temperature has been above 90 the past few days and of course our air conditioner chose yesterday to stop working. I had the temperature set at 72 yesterday and by the time I got home from work the house was 80 degrees. By bedtime it got up to 84. I decided to fill the little pool we have with water. The pool is a little small for the kids but they both had so much fun playing in it. I will definitely be buying a bigger one for them this summer.
It's been really hot here in Huntington, New York these past few days, too. I've been wearing shorts and lightweight short-sleeved shirts every day, and I'm glad every room in my house is air-conditioned. Our swimming pool was opened around the end of last month, so hopefully once school is over I'll be able to go swimming (my last day of school is June 10th).
My name is Karen and I have been married to my husband Stu for a little over 9 years. I was pregnant with twins and lost our baby girl at 20 1/2 weeks after I had premature rupture of membranes. I stayed pregnant with the other baby and our first child, Brandon Tyler, was born on July 5, 2008 at 26 weeks and 1 day. Our second child, Wesley Matthew, was born full term on June 29, 2011. This blog is documenting our children.
