We have gone to the beach the past three days. Let me just say neither Brandon or Wesley has any fear of the ocean which is both a good and bad thing.
On Saturday we went to the beach at Philips Avenue. Rich and Zack were visiting for the weekend so they were there with us too. They both took Brandon out pretty far and taught him how to dive under the big waves. Brandon LOVED it! He couldn't get enough of it. Wesley started to get more comfortable in the water that day too by body boarding. Wesley saw two of his friends from school at the beach so had fun playing with them. Our time at the beach was cut short by a storm so we had to leave.
Yesterday we went back to the beach in the afternoon. Rich and Zack were there again along with Debbie who also came to visit. Brandon enjoyed playing out in the waves again. Wesley decided to go pretty far out into the water with me. Waves crashed on top of his head and he went under a few times and was totally not bothered. We saw my friend, Nancy, and her kids at the beach. Wesley and Brandon had fun playing with them.
This afternoon we went to Monmouth Beach Bathing Pavilion with Wesley's friend, Kennedy, and her mom, Erin. They belong there and invited us to join them. We had so much fun. The boys played in the ocean for a little while with Kennedy and then went swimming in the pool there too. Wesley kept running into the water and putting his head in the ocean.
