Brandon's 1st Drawing of a Person

Justin's Birthday Party

Yesterday we went to Justin's 3rd birthday party. It was at the sprayground and playground at Dorbrook. Both Brandon and Wesley had a ton of fun playing at the sprayground. The last time we were there Wesley wasn't walking and was not a huge fan. It is amazing the difference that walking made with him there.

Pirate Cruise

On Saturday, Stu, Brandon, and I went on a pirate cruise with Becky, Barry, Logan, Heather, Chris, Jen, and Olivia. Brandon was a little reluctant to participate the first half of the trip but then started participating and had so much fun. He really liked squirting the pirate with the water cannon and getting treasure from the treasure chest.

Last Swim Lesson

Brandon had his last swim lesson on Friday. It was Monday, Wednesday, Friday for two weeks. He did really well. He blew bubbles, put his eyes in the water, floated on his front and back, climbed along the wall like Spiderman, picked up rings, scooped his hands in the water, and jumped in off of the side.

Crayola Factory

On Friday Stu, Brandon, Wesley, Stu's parents, and I went to the Crayola Factory. It was a really neat place and very hands on. There were lots of things to make to use the different products. They also give you tokens to use to get markers, crayons, and model magic and a crayon box to fill with four different crayons that are on different floors. Brandon wrote the first four letters of his name with chalk. He asked me how to make the B and made it the way I told him. He remembered how to write the r, a, and n from his leap pad although he made the line for the a in the middle of the circle. Not bad for his first attempt.

Liberty Science Center

On Thursday Stu, Brandon, Wesley, and I went to the Liberty Science Center. There were several things there for 2-5 year olds to do. One area that both boys liked a lot was I Explore. There were a lot of hands on things. We also went to We Explore. Someone read a book to the kids about energy and then did several age appropriate hands on activities with them.

Point Pleasant with Nolan

Brian, Laura, and Nolan came to visit from California for the week. We went to my parents beach house on Monday to see them and again on Tuesday. On Monday we just hung out at the house since it looked like it was going to rain. It took Wesley a while to warm up to Nolan and not be afraid of him. On Tuesday we went to the beach. Brandon has absolutely no fear of the water. He loves the ocean. Wesley decided that sand was yummy to eat and kept trying to put moutfuls into his mouth.

Birthday Parties

Sunday was a busy day for us. We had two birthday parties. The first was for Brandon's friend, Daniel, who was turning 4 . It was at R Bounce. Brandon had so much fun bouncing in the bounce houses. I was amazed at how much he has grown since we were there in April. He needed help with the majority of bounce house mazes in April and this time he was able to do all of them by himself.

The second party was for our friend, Tori, who was turning 2. It was at Jungleriffic where Brandon had his party. At first when we got there Brandon wouldn't go up to the slides by himself. He said he was scared of heights. But he quickly got over it and had a great time. Wesley had a lot of fun too. There were a lot of things for kids his age to play with.
