University of Delaware

We stopped at University of Delaware on the way home from Virginia. We drove by where I lived off campus for two years, showed the kids the education building where I had a lot of my classes, and drove on Main Street to look around. Unfortunately since it was Easter the stores were closed.

Virginia Day 2- Shenandoah National Park and Hawksbil Brewing

On our second day we went to Shenandoah National Park. The kids did the junior ranger activities in the visitor center and then we went on a 1.2 mile hike in the park called Fox Hollow. We then left Shenandoah and went to the Hawksbill Brewing Company.

Virginia Day 1- Luray Caverns and Front Royal Brewing Company

We went on to Virginia last weekend for two nights. On the first day we went to Luray Caverns when we got there. After the tour we walked through the toy museum and car museum. We then went to the Front Royal Brewing Company for dinner and beer.

Breakfast with the Easter bunny/ egg hunt

Stu's fire department had breakfast with the Easter bunny two weeks ago. It was followed by a town egg hunt on the field next to the firehouse.

Monroe Tournament

Both boys soccer teams were in the Monroe Tournament in the beginning of April. Wesley's team won both of their games so came in first in the tournament. They got a special medal for it. The times of Brandon's games were changed and nobody notified the coaches that they were changed so they forfited the first came since nobody was there and only 9 players were able to make it to the second came since it was much earlier in the day than it was supposed to be.

Fire Dinner

We went to the fire dinner in the beginning of April. Stu got two awards- one for becoming a life member and one for being one of the top five responders for the year.
