Please Touch Museum

Stu had to go to Philadelphia today for an eye doctor appointment this afternoon so Brandon and I decided to go with him so that the three of us could go into the city earlier in the day and do something together. We decided to go to the Please Touch Museum. It was a big hit. Brandon loved it! There was so much to do there. There were race cars that the kids could sit in and pretend to drive, a real car that you could pretend to fill at a gas station, a bus that you could get on, a metro car, an Alice in Wonderland area including a rabbit hole to slide down, wooden slides, a water room, and an area that had all different shops and restaurants (shoe store, McDonald's, Shop Rite, CHOP, a diner, etc.).

Ben's Bar Mitzvah

This weekend Stu, Brandon, and I went to Maryland for our nephew, Ben's, Bar Mitzvah. The weekend started Friday night with a dinner at a really good Chinese restaurant. Brandon's first and third cousins all enjoyed seeing and playing with him. It was too bad there was only one of him to go around because they all wanted to hold him.

Ben's Bar Mitzvah was on Saturday. Brandon was in the babysitting room for most of the service. He then slept through the first two hours at the restaurant. Once he woke up he was happy to hang out with all of the big kids.

After the Bar Mitzvah we went back to Debbie and Rich's house. This morning we went to Debbie and Rich's house again for breakfast. It was a busy but fun weekend and really nice seeing everyone.

A Visit From Uncle Brian

My parents and brother came to visit today. Brian and his wife, Laura, are moving in a few weeks and will be a lot further away so it was our last time seeing Uncle Brian for awhile. We will miss him and Laura when they move. Brandon enjoyed his visit with his uncle and grandparents.

Tommy's 4th Birthday Party

Brandon went to Tommy's 4th birthday party yesterday. It was at a place called Fun Play Parties. Brandon had SO much fun. I think I am going to probably have his 3rd birthday there. There were 3 huge indoor play structures (the wooden kind that have the swings, slides, etc.) and a huge moonbounce. Brandon LOVED the moonbounce. The kids got to play on everything for about an hour. Then they had the kids hit a pinata which Brandon enjoyed doing. He didn't quite understand the candy gathering part. He picked up one lollipop and wanted to eat it right away rather than gather a lot of candy. I did get him to pick it a few more lollipops to put in his candy bag. After the pinata the party moved to a room with tables and chairs and the kids got to eat pizza and then cupcakes.

22 Weeks

I realize I haven't been doing a good job updating how I am doing with my pregnancy on here.

I am 22 weeks today. Things are going really well with this pregnancy so far. I had already been on bedrest for almost 3 weeks the last pregnancy at this point.

We found out a day shy of 15 weeks that we are having another boy. So far he is called baby no name.

I started getting a weekly shot called a P17 shot at 16 weeks. I will get it once a week until I am 36 weeks. I have a visiting nurse who comes to my house every weekend to give me the shot. It is supposed to help with people who have had preterm deliveries in past pregnancies. The shot helps to keep your uturus from contracting.

I have gone for 3 cervical checks and my cervix is between 4 and 5 cm which the doctors are really happy with. I didn't have cervical issues the first pregnancy but they are being extra cautious with this pregnancy after everything that happened with the last. My high risk doctor keeps telling me he thinks it really is the difference between a singleton pregnancy and twin pregnancy with me.

I will try to have Stu take a picture of me and post it on here to show what I look like. I have really popped. Brandon points to my stomach and says "baby" but I don't think he really understands that there will be a baby living here with us in a few months.

Elmo's Birthday Party

Last Saturday the Borders book store near us was having a birthday party for Elmo's third birthday so we went to check it out. I have to admit it was very lame. Elmo didn't even make an appearance. When the kids sang happy birthday they sang it to an Elmo puppet. I would have thought there would be a dressed up person as Elmo. The kids colored birthday cards for Elmo and had cookies and hot chocolate which Brandon enjoyed.
