Turkey Hustle

On Saturday, my school had the turkey hustle. Wesley and I ran the 600 yard and 1 mile race, Brandon ran the 1 mile race, and Stu ran the 3 mile race which actually wound up being 3.8 miles. Wesley was so excited to see my students from last year there who he became friendly with at bring your kid to work day last April.

Parent/ Teacher Basketball Game

Last week I brought Brandon and Wesley to the parent/teacher basketball game at their school. Stu was working so he couldn't go with us. Brandon and Wesley enjoyed watching the game and rooting for their teachers. They also had the best time hanging out with their friends.

Monmouth University Basketball and Football

On Friday night we went to the season opener for the Monmouth University Men's basketball. It was a very exciting game. They won by one point in the last few seconds of the game. We had seats right next to where the players come out at the beginning of the game and half time and go back in at half time and the end of the game. Brandon and Wesley were able to get high fives from the players every time they came out or went back in.
On Saturday afternoon we went to the Monmouth University football game. It was the last game of the season. We hadn't been to a football game in a few years but wanted to check out the new stadium that they built just in time for this season to start. We only lasted until half time since it was freezing out and Monmouth was already winning by a lot at half time.

Ball Boy

Brandon's soccer coach texted me on Thursday night to see if Brandon wanted to be one of the ball boys the next morning at the boys high school soccer game. He wanted to and had so much fun doing it.

Franklin Institute

Brandon, Wesley, and I have been off of school the past few days because of teacher conventions. Stu took Thursday off too and was off on Friday for Veteran's Day. On Thursday we decided to go to the Franklin Institute. It was a last minute decision since our original plan was to go to New York. Brandon wound up having soccer practice at 5:00 since his game was rained out on Tuesday so we needed to find an activity that was shorter to do. Everyone wound up loving the Franklin Institute and can't wait to go back!

Halloween 2017

Brandon and Wesley both had a blast trick or treating this year. They got so much candy! Wesley was a Storm Trooper and Brandon was a panda. I was Sleepy from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs with my co-workers. I couldn't go to Brandon and Wesley's parades but thanks to Stu and the grandparents who attended I was still able to get pictures from the parade. I also got some pictures from their class parties from the homeroom moms who attended the parties.
