Silton, Tennis, and More

Wesley went to Silton Swim School this past week. He will be there again next week. I was originally not going to send him this year but then they had discount weeks so I decided to send him. I am so glad I decided to. We went to see him swim yesterday and he is doing such a great job. He can swim with big arms and take breaths now, treads water for at least 10 seconds, and continues to float on his back. Wesley's friend, Olivia, is at Silton with him too which definitely helps him with going there.
Some of Wesley's other friends from school also went to Silton this week. They were in different groups than him but he saw some of them on the fields with him in between lessons. Here he is with Olivia, Santosh, and Raina.

Brandon had tennis lessons through our town this week. Unfortunately it has rained a lot this week so some of the lessons have been rescheduled. As long as it is not raining tomorrow he will have his last lesson then. He seems to like it and has definitely learned how to hit the ball over the net.
Brandon went to his friend, Laila's, house every day this week after camp since I was picking up Wesley at the same time. He had so much fun hanging out with her. One of the days he stayed for a play date for a longer time.
We also went to AC Moore again this past Wednesday for their craft day. This week Brandon and Wesley made owl sun catchers.
On Friday after camp we hung out with Wesley's friend, Olivia, and her mom, Brooke. We went to Skyzone, then we went out for ice cream/ donuts, then Olivia came back to our house with her mom and played for a little while.
Yesterday we went to see The Secret Life of Pets. What a cute movie! We saw it in 3d.

Busy, Busy Weekend

We had a very busy, but fun weekend.

On Saturday morning Wesley went to his friend, Everrett's, birthday party. It was at Dorbrook and was a Lego party. First, the kids had time to play with the legos and build what they wanted to. Then the two people who came from Bricks for Kids showed them how to build the Empire State Building. The kids then got to do spin art on a lego base that spun with a motor.
We then went to see The Little Mermaid play at the Algonquin Theater in Manasquan. The cast did a wonderful job. There were some very talented actors in the play. After the play we got to meet a lot of the actors which Brandon and Wesley loved.
Brandon and Wesley spent the night at my parents beach house on Saturday night. Stu and I went out to dinner at 9th Avenue Pier. We saw this beautiful sunset when we were there.
Yesterday Wesley had his preK graduation party. It was at Fireman's Field. 35 families from his school were there. The kids had so much fun playing together and the fun bus also came for them to play on which they loved.

More Camp and Other Fun

This past week Brandon went to the Big Red Basketball Camp. It was at the high school and open to Ocean Township residents which is the kids that he plays with in rec basketball. He really seemed to like it a lot and worked on a lot of skills every day. Each day they ended with a scrimmage.
At the end of every day the coaches would have the campers sit in the middle court and pick 6 campers to be camper of the day. They made a little speech and said why each student was chosen and gave them a beach ball basketball. Brandon was chosen as camper of the day on Thursday. He was so excited. He said he got it for being open in the scrimmage that day; being under the basket and in the corners. I am so proud of him.
The Tinton Falls Coop Preschool Camp where Wesley was going for 3 weeks ended on Thursday. He really liked it there a lot. On Friday he went to camp for the day at My Gym with his friend, Kennedy. It was only from 9-12 but he loved it. He got to play on the equipment, played games, had snack, and did a craft.
We also had fun going to decorate cookies at AC Moore on Wednesday.
We went to the pool a few times this week too. Brandon and Wesley played Bingo there one of the days and Wesley won so he got to pick some prizes. He picked some prizes for himself but also picked a pair of funny sunglasses for Brandon.

Jared's Carnival

Yesterday we went to a carnival for Jared. He is the triplet brother of two girls that Wesley went to school with. They were born prematurely and Jared has several medical issues as a result of being born early. His family had a fundraiser to raise money for his therapies. The carnival was at Brandon's school. Brandon and Wesley enjoyed seeing the characters, playing some games, going on the Fun Bus, and doing sand art. Wesley also saw some friends from school which he was excited about.
