Happy 10th Birthday Kylie

Ten years ago this past Saturday is when Brandon's twin sister, Kylie, was born. We went out to dinner on Saturday night and it started raining. When it stopped the sun came out and then there was a rainbow. I have always told Brandon and Wesley that if they see a rainbow it is Kylie saying hi to them and that she is alright. What an amazing thing to see on her 10th birthday. Happy birthday Kylie! We love you and miss you.

Kicking Off Memorial Day Weekend

Brandon and Wesley wore their red, white, and blue to school on Friday to kick off Memorial Day weekend.

Cub Scouts

About a month ago Wesley started doing cub scouts. Two of his really good friends from school do it and kept telling him to join so he tried a meeting and really liked it. Last Wednesday was a pack meeting. Each group went up when it was their turn and were presented with a patch for completing their requirements for the year. Wesley got his Bobcat patch and also a belt loop for a nature activity his group did.

May the 4th Be With You

Cub Scouts

Wesley recently decided he wanted to become a Cub Scout since two of his good friends from school are. He went to a meeting a few weeks ago to see if he liked it and he did so he joined the next week. He has really been enjoying it. So far he has tasted different fruits and vegetables, had a pack meeting, cleaned up a lake in town, and last week learned about different birds and looked outside in a circle of grass to see what he discovered in nature.

Spring School Pictures

Clean Sweep

We participated in Clean Sweep a few weeks ago. Our area was at the tennis courts on Fireman's Field. We found a ton of garbage. It really is amazing how lazy people are that they can't walk to the garbage cans to throw their garbage or recycling away.

Issy's Party

Wesley went to his friend Issy's birthday party a few weeks ago. It was at a horse farm in Howell. Everyone got to walk through the barn and see the animals, then they got to ride on a horse, and then they got to groom a horse. It was a really fun party!

Bring Your Kid to Work

Brandon and Wesley both came with me for bring your kid to work this year. They enjoyed meeting my students and both read a book to my class. The highlight of their day was meeting Boomer, our school therapy dog.

Chorus Concert and Art Show

The chorus concert and art show were on April 24th. Students can be in chorus if they want in 3rd and 4th grade. Brandon chose to do it this Spring.

The art show was the same night so we went to see Wesley's art work before the concert and Brandon's art work after the concert.

After the show we went to Igloo for ice cream with Laila and Nina.

4th Grade Trenton Trip

On April 24th, the 4th grade went on a trip to Trenton. Stu chaperoned the trip. They went to the Old Barracks, the State House, and Washington's Crossing. Brandon had so much fun on the trip!
