Sesame Place Spooktacular Halloween

My parents, Brandon, Wesley, and I went to Sesame Place today for the Count's Spooktacular Halloween. It was a lot of fun. We went to the Elmo Live show first which both kids enjoyed. Brandon and Wesley then played on some of the things at Sesame Place. There were spots set up throughout to trick or treat so we did that. And both kids rode on the merry go round.

15 Months Old

Wesley turned 15 months old on Saturday. He goes to the pediatrician on Wednesday for his well visit so I will find out then how much he weighs and how long he is. He is wearing 18-24 month clothes, a size 5 1/2 shoe, and a size 4 diaper. He has several words (eat, baby, bye bye, B for Brandon, mama, dada, doggie, Elmo, apple, bee bee for beep beep, as well as more that I am forgetting). He loves dancing and does it whenever he plays with his toys that play music. He loves Brandon and copies everything he does. He loves to eat. Fruits and vegetables, especially peas, are his favorite. He is completely done with baby food. He still gets two bottles a day, one in the morning and one at night. The rest of the day he drinks from a sippy cup. He has quite a personality and makes us laugh.

Big Steps For Little Feet Walk

The Big Steps for Little Feet walk was today. Stu, Brandon, Wesley, and I and both sets of our parents walked in it. Brandon had a lot of fun running around before the walk with his friend Ava. Stu and I spoke about our NICU stay and story leading up to our NICU stay. The night before I saw that the nurse who was in charge of the walk needed 2-3 families who would share their story so I told her we would. Over 66,000 was raised for the NICU.

First Soccer Game

Brandon's first soccer game was this morning. He is on the Knights and his team is gray. He had fun playing. He got to kick the ball a few times, threw in an out of bounds ball, and ran a lot. It was really cute watching all of the little kids play soccer.

First Soccer Practice

Brandon is playing soccer this year in Neptune since they let kids start playing at 4. His coach is Coach Joe and his good friend Sydney is on his team. Last night was there first practice. Brandon had a lot of fun at the practice.

Jersey Shore 5k and Family Day

Last Sunday Stu ran in a 5k to help raise money for Jersey Shore Hospital. After the 5k they had a Family Day there. There was all kinds of food, bounce houses, and projects for the kids to make inside.

Ready for Some Football

First Day of School

Brandon and Wesley had their first day of school at Ivy Hedge on Wednesday. Both boys seem to really like it so far.

Wesley cried a lot on the first day but had a much better day on Thursday and Friday. I thought it would be a tough adjustment for him since he was home with me all summer and had never been to school before. He is in the toddler class. The hardest thing for him is they only take one nap so they have been trying to transition him to one nap. The first day he couldn't make it up until nap time so they put him down early. The second day he only napped for 45 minutes. The third day he finally took a two hour nap.

Brandon is in the pre-k room at Ivy Hedge. He is there until 12:15 and then the bus comes to take him to the public school where he went last year. He is in the 4 year old class this year. He has a new teacher named Ms. Lori. I haven't met her yet but Stu met her when he took Brandon to his orientation (unfortunately it was on my second day of work so I couldn't go).

Brandon has been having a hard time in the morning when I bring him to Ivy Hedge because he goes to the before care room which he doesn't like. Hopefully he will adjust soon. Wesley also goes to before care so Brandon and Wesley are together from when I drop them off around 7:30-7:45 until 9 when they go to their own rooms.

Blue Claws Game

Stu and I brought Brandon and Wesley to a minor league baseball game yesterday. It was the last game of the season and they had dollar food items and merchandise every other inning since they were trying to use up what they had. Merchandise that wasn't a dollar was 40% off. We bought grass tickets so the boys could run around. It was a great choice because we were able to stay a lot longer than we probably would have otherwise.

Back to Work Today

Today is my first day back at work after the summer. The nice thing about being a teacher is hsving the summers off. But I am definitely going to miss spending the days with these two.

Last Beach Day

We went to the beach one last time for the summer yesterday. Brandon loved the ocean as usual and Wesley really liked it this time too.

Sesame Place

On Thursday my dad, Brandon, Wesley, and I went to Sesame Place. We went on the dry rides and Brandon played on one of the climbing structures and also walked between the character bags. Brandon especially loved the tea cups. He kept making them spin all by himself and had the biggest smile on his face the whole time.
