Escape Room

We went to an escape room last weekend. We had a lot of fun. We came close to escaping.

First Covid Vaccine Done

Stu had his first Covid vaccine yesterday. He goes in 3 weeks for the next one. I’m still waiting for teachers to get their turn.

Abraham Lincoln

Brandon had to research a president for his social studies class and then do a presentation. He had to dress up as the president for part of his grade. He chose Abraham Lincoln and did a great job with his presentation.

Happy birthday to Me

My birthday was the week after Stu’s birthday. It was freezing in my birthday so my parents stopped over for cake for a short while. Brandon and Wesley had fun decorating my cake. The Caramanica’s came over for dinner and brought yummy birthday cupcakes.

Happy birthday Stu

Stu’s birthday was on January 2nd. The weather was a bit warmer than usual for the beginning of January so my parents and Stu’s parents came to the backyard for cake.

Later that night Brandon, Wesley, Stu, and I went to the Asbury Ale House to have dinner in our own private greenhouse. The greenhouse was neat but that service was awful. It was nice to get out in a safe place.

New Year’s Day

This year on New Year’s Day Stu went to the firehouse for the swearing in of the new officers. There were no firehouse runs like usual due to COVID. So right after he came home. At least I got a picture of the boys with Stu like we usually do on New Years.

New Year’s Eve

2020 was definitely a very different year than any of us could have imagined and I am definitely not sad to see it go. There were a few things however that were not as bad in 2020. One thing this year did was made us all slow down from our busy, crazy lives. I am definitely thankful for all of the extra family time that we had. We started game nights, went on lots of family walks and bike rides, got a new puppy, and watched lots of family movies. 2020 also connected us much more to family that does not live near here. 2020 also strengthened friendships I had and even turned some of those friends into “family”. I don’t know that we would have been able to get through this year without those friends. Hopefully 2021 winds up being a much better year than this past one was.

We did have a fun New Year’s Eve. We got together with the Caramanica’s and Green’s who have been in our bubble since Covid started.
