The last home Monmouth basketball game of the regular season was yesterday. We went to the game and both boys really enjoyed it. Wesley told me partway through the game, "I am into basketball now."
Brandon has been playing basketball again this season. He has two fantastic coaches and has had such a great season. He dribbles so much better this year, passes the ball often, has had several close shots, and made a basket! He is so determined when it comes to basketball which is awesome to see.
I was in Atlantic City from Sunday to Tuesday at the kindergarten teacher conference. I went with the four other kindergarten teachers that I work with. I saw some great speakers there and can't wait to go back to my classroom to apply some of the great ideas that I learned about. We did have some free time at the conference too so one of the nights we went to dinner at Margaritaville.
Brandon and Wesley both had birthday parties that they went to on Saturday. Wesley went to see Kung Fu Panda for his friend, Alexandros', birthday. The kids watched the movie and then went to the food court at the mall for lunch and cupcakes.
Later that day Brandon went to his friend, Jason's, birthday. It was at Good Sports. The kids played soccer and dodge ball.
We had a nice Valentine's Day yesterday. We had heart shaped bagels for breakfast, heart shaped sandwiches for lunch, and heart ravioli for dinner. We gave Brandon and Wesley hearts with candy and a valentine Beanie Boo. Brandon and Wesley also watched their first Star Wars movie. We watched episode 4.
Friday before school- ready for Valentine's Day school parties
One of Stu's co workers gave us tickets to another Monmouth game so we went on Saturday night. We thought the game started at 8 but when we got there it was half time. Turned out it started at 7. Brandon was really mad that he missed the first half but still enjoyed the rest of the game.
My name is Karen and I have been married to my husband Stu for a little over 9 years. I was pregnant with twins and lost our baby girl at 20 1/2 weeks after I had premature rupture of membranes. I stayed pregnant with the other baby and our first child, Brandon Tyler, was born on July 5, 2008 at 26 weeks and 1 day. Our second child, Wesley Matthew, was born full term on June 29, 2011. This blog is documenting our children.
