Brandon had his last soccer game for the season on Saturday. Brandon scored a goal in the game. He really grew so much as a soccer player this season. I really enjoyed watching him play in his games. His team played really well together. After the game all of the kids got medals.
We then went to a team party at the coaches' house. The kids had fun swimming there and also playing soccer and going on the zip line that was in the backyard.
Yesterday we went to Rosalie and Caleb's B'Nai Mitzvah. We saw some relatives on Stu's side that Brandon and Wesley hadn't seen in a long time. There was a guy who came and played games with the kids. Brandon and Wesley participated in some of the games. I think the favorite was the one where they stomped on bubble wrap. Brandon also liked the game where he was wrapped with toilet paper to look like a mummy.
Yesterday morning both boys had their games. I went to Wesley's t-ball game since it was my week to go to his game and Stu went to Brandon's soccer game. Wesley had three good hits (they play 3 innings) and got the ball a few times when he was in the field which he threw to first base. Brandon scored 3 goals! He played really well. He is having an amazing season with Ocean United Rec.
We had another busy weekend! On Saturday morning Wesley had his t-ball pictures.
He then had a t-ball game and Brandon had a soccer game.
Wesley then had two birthday parties that he went to. His friend, Raina's, was at Monster Mini Golf. His friends, Joey and Maddy's, was at a gymnastics place. Both were friends from school. He had a lot of fun at both parties.
When Wesley was at the parties Brandon participated in Poem in Your Pocket. The school teams up with some of the merchants in town for it. The students can go to the merchants and read a poem to them and in return the merchant gives them a treat. He read a poem that he wrote in school. He had a lot of fun doing it.
On Sunday the boys had swim lessons. Both are improving so much. Wesley floated on his back for 40 seconds and could have kept floating!
After swim lessons we went to McGuire Air Force Base for an air show. Brandon and Wesley saw lots of planes, helicopters, and tanks and got to climb in some of them. We also saw an air show.
On Thursday Wesley went on a field trip to the Museum of Natural History with the preK. Stu and I both went on the trip. The kids learned about dinosaurs at school so the first stop was to see the dinosaurs. After that we were free to go and see anything else that we wanted. We walked around with Wesley's friend, Olivia, and her parents and his friend, Kennedy, and her mom. The kids had such a fun time.
My name is Karen and I have been married to my husband Stu for a little over 9 years. I was pregnant with twins and lost our baby girl at 20 1/2 weeks after I had premature rupture of membranes. I stayed pregnant with the other baby and our first child, Brandon Tyler, was born on July 5, 2008 at 26 weeks and 1 day. Our second child, Wesley Matthew, was born full term on June 29, 2011. This blog is documenting our children.
