Snow Cream

Wesley made snow cream at school today. There were pictures posted on facebook on his school's page which I copied so that I could post them on here.

Monmouth Basketball Game and Autographs

We went to the Monmouth University basketball game today. Stu's co-worker called us a few hours before it started because he had tickets and wanted to see if we wanted them. We decided to go since the kids liked the game so much earlier in the week when we went. At the end of the game we saw some people lined up and got in the line since it was all of the players signing autographs. They gave the kids posters to get signed. Brandon and Wesley also got their picture taken with the best player on the team.

Sledding

The snow finally stopped sometime in the middle of the night. We got at least 2 feet if not a little more. School is already closed for Brandon and me tomorrow. Wesley has school but modified hours. Stu came home from the firehouse today. He had been there since 6 am. We brought Brandon and Wesley sledding at a hill a few streets away from us. They both had so much fun.

Fun in the Snow

It started snowing last night and has continued to snow all day. It is supposed to stop sometime in the middle of the night. We probably have close to 2 feet of snow already. Brandon and Wesley were begging to go out in the snow to play all day so I finally let them late this afternoon. They had so much fun. They didn't want to come in. I finally got them in with the promise to go sledding tomorrow.

Dress Like a Penguin

Wesley had dress like a penguin day at school today. The students wore black and white clothes and learned about penguins and did penguin activities. Wesley even brought his little stuffed penguin to school with him.

Crazy Hat Day

Wesley had crazy hat day at school last week. We went to Target the night before and he picked out the Paw Patrol hat to wear as his hat. He was so excited to wear it to school that day.

Monmouth Basketball Game

Yesterday we went to the Monmouth University basketball game. It was an exciting game. One of the guys scored his 1000th point and since the team won they are now in first place. We saw several of our friends at the game. Since they are doing so well a lot of people have been going to the games. It was sold out! Brandon was so into the game the whole time and even Wesley surprised me by being into it most of the time.

My 40th Birthday

My 40th birthday was last Saturday. It was a great birthday. The day started off with going out to breakfast with Stu, Brandon, and Wesley. Brandon's first basketball game for the season was in the afternoon so we went there. Then we had family at our house for pizza for dinner. Stu's family and my family were both there which meant so much to me. My brother even flew in from California for the weekend to celebrate with us! We had birthday cupcakes for Brandon and Wesley after dinner.

Then the celebration continued with an adult party. We went to Otto's for it. The owner was nice enough to let us have the restaurant section for a private party. There were lots of friends there; Ivy Hedge moms that I am friends with, people from the fire department that I am friends with, family, friends from years ago, and two friends that I grew up with. It was really nice being surrounded by family and friends.
