Lancaster Day 1

The boys and I have Spring break this week. Stu took a few days off of work and we went to Lancaster for two nights. We finished our getaway with a day trip to Philadelphia.

Stop one on our trip was at the Herr's Factory. We went on a tour to see how they make their products. We also got to taste potato chips fresh off of the belt. They were probably the best potato chips we have ever had!
After the Herr's factory we went to check into our motel. We stayed at the Red Caboose in an old caboose car that was converted into a motel room. There was a bunk bed for the kids to sleep in and a full size bed for Stu and me.
A quick stop at New Holland on the way to dinner. We couldn't do the tour since you need to be 12 or older but Stu wanted to see it from the outside.
We went to the Shady Maple for dinner. It is an all you can eat smorgasbord which is really popular in Lancaster. They have an incredible store below it so we had fun looking through the store after dinner.
Our last stop of the day was at the Lancaster Brewing Company.
